AITE is offering 2 month classes (classes currently limited to 10 students). AITE will prepare you for professional employment, that reflects responsibility, initiative, and teamwork. Each student will have their own CAD/CAM computer. Hands on experience in live projects. On successful completion of the course you will be a certified CNC professional. You will also be guided for your job

Course outcome

AITE offers top-notch, hands-on training on all aspects of CNC, from tooling to CAD to machine operations and more. You will be able to read a blue print, write a program using CAD. You will be able to demonstrate basic startup, setup, and operation procedures. You will be able to machine the part and inspect its dimensional quality. You will be able to demonstrate proper shutdown procedures for the CNC machine tool.

Review of machining operations, engineering drawing and metrology

• Review of machining - viz. Turning, Hole making and milling operations
  
• Cutting tools nomenclature and cutting tool materials;
  
• Work materials and their properties - Machinability, Hardness, etc.,; ISO classification for work material groups.
  
• Basic machining parameters - Cutting speed, Feed and Depth of cut; Calculations of parameters for the different machining operations.
  
• Measuring instruments - Types and their selection; Common instruments used in machine shops; Least count, Accuracy and Repeatability.
  
• Methods of measurement - Using Vernier calipers, Micrometer, Digital Height gauge.
  
• Types and use of gauges; Care in using gauges and instruments
  
• Surface finish symbols; Manufacturing processes Vs Surface roughness values; measuring surface roughness;
  
• Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing principles -Symbols, definitions and measuring procedures;
  
• Exercises in engineering drawing and fits & tolerances;
